Sad. I finally ordered the LL Bean retro/deco alarm clock in pink (it comes in other colors ) mostly b/c I couldn't resist how pretty I found it. Guess what, it works--it scares the be-jesus out of the cats, but it works. That's my suggestion :-) I hate alarms and have slept thru my cell phone alarm for years. Sad.
