The Times described Benedict Cumberbatch’s voice as a “jaguar hiding inside a cello”. How is that for a metaphor? By God, there is no better one. I’ve listened to him reading poetry, and honestly, it’s better than music. So I’ve decided to make a list of the most amazing, deep, rich, velvety male voices I know: Bryan Cranston, Benedict Cumberbatch, Leonard Cohen and Tom Hiddleston.
BRYAN CRANSTON reading Ozymandias by Percy Bysshe Shelley. This is my favorite. The part where he says “My name is Ozymandias” gives me goose bumps every time, no matter if it’s the tenth time I’ve listened to this.
LEONARD COHEN reciting A Thousand Kisses Deep. He is my favorite singer of all times. What a heart-wrenching poem!
